The Siamese Twins trail is a nice family hike with lots of little crooks and crannies for kids to explore. As the trail makes its loop it is connected to by the Cabin Canyon and Palmer trails as well as spurs that leads to the Balanced Rock and Strausenback trails To hike to the Siamese Twins formation, take the trail on the north end of the parking lot that leads North. As you hike, you'll observe a very different landscape to the West, desert terrain that stretches out and up to Rampart Range Road. At the Siamese Twins, be sure to grab a photo of Pikes Peak framed by the window in the rock.

The Palmer Trail starts on the north side of the main parking area, and it wraps to the west and then south. After about a mile of hiking, a short 400-yard trail splits off to the Siamese Twins formation. Circle back to the main trail, and then you'll cross the road and cut through the main park area's southern section on the Buckskin. For the tour, we recommend parking at the Spring Canyon parking area, and hiking the Palmer Trail — up to the formation.
