I'm scheduled to go back next week to see if there has been any growth. I'm really freaking out 8 weeks ( ultrasound measuring 6 no heartbeat): anyone experience this and have a good outcome? I am 8 weeks according to last period, 28 day cycle! Had some brownish bloody tinged discharge so went to emerg, transvaginal ultrasound showed a baby and sac measuring 6 weeks with no heartbeat. My hgc levels were 14000 on Tuesday and 15560 on Wednesday so they did go up Beginning 5 weeks:the normal fetal heartbeat is in between 80 to 85 BPM. Later in 5 weeks:the normal fetal heartbeat starts at 103 and ends at 126 BPM. In 6 weeks:at a range of 103 to 126 BPM from the start to the end. In 7 weeks: at a range of 126 to 149 BPM from the start to the end. In 8 weeks: at a range of 149 to 172BPM from the start to. Anything before I think it said 8 weeks on a poster at the hospital is basically just an educated guess as the baby is so so tiny. I saw my midwife at 10 weeks (by my dates not the hospitals) and heard my baby's heartbeat so my dates were definitely right as she said 10 weeks was the earliest she could detect a heartbeat with her doppler

Hi - Just in case anyone is still reading this thread, just wanted to update that I had the same situation, no heartbeat at 8 weeks, u/s showed about a 5 and 1/2 week appearing fetal pole and yolk sac, then the following week, u/s showed clearly that there was no viable pregnancy.
