The full GDT runs for a staggering 1,200 km, roughly following the Continental Divide through BC and Alberta's Rocky Mountains High Ledges Wildlife Sanctuary in Shelburne offers 5 miles of hiking trails with excellent views of the Deerfield River Valley and Mount Greylock. For an easy, 1-mile hike, take Sanctuary Road.
